Depeche Mode were at the 1988 MTV Video Music Awards to perform "Strangelove". Before the show, Kurt Loder interviewed the band. This segment never aired.
In case you can't hear Kurt, here are a few of the things he says:
(1) At the beginning, he says "You have the pleasure to be here with Elvira" (Elvira - The Mistress Of The Dark was standing just off camera).
(2) At the end, the question Kurt asks the band, which gets them laughing, is "Could you try to explain acid house music to us".
