Depeche Mode won the "Best International Artist" award at the recent Viva COMET Awards, broadcast August 18th (the other nominees were Destiny's Child, Madonna, Jennifer Lopez and U2). Follow the links below to view the video of the acceptance speech, taped before the Exciter Tour performance in Santa Barbara, California. Highlights include Martin renaming the award the Eva Award, for his daughter, and David attempting to conjure spirits with the award.
There are a few technical glitches in the audio. They were in the master tape. We are sorry if this distracts from the viewing.
