Notes: The first single released after the "101" concert, and the single that brought the band into the 90's. This particular mix, in the U.S., was shipped on a promotional 12" single weeks before release to radio stations. All it had on the stark white label was the catalog number, and the running time. There was no indication on who the band was. To date, the "Personal Jesus" single is one of the best selling singles in the Sire / Reprise catalog.

Notes: For this MTV dance compilation, the "Holier Than Thou Approach" of Personal Jesus was re-edited. It was cross-faded from the previous track, which was Jane Child's "Don't Wanna Fall In Love". Yes, this really is how the "mix" sounds. While sharing the same last name, we know of no relation between the mixer, and DM's manager.
